CREATING YOUR PORTRAITS WITH CARE AND LOVE
My specialty is on-location portraiture created in your home, the back yard, the local park or any other place which has special meaning for you, to increase your enjoyment of the experience and enhance the beauty of the portrait.
THE DESIGN CONSULTATION
It is important that your pet be comfortable with the process. Normally we will meet at your home in a relaxed informal atmosphere to plan the details of your portraits. We discuss the design of the portrait, the poses, backgrounds, formal or lifestyle, the place where it will be hung if it is a wall portrait and where you wish to take the photographs; in the house, the back yard or a favorite location away from your home.
Typically the consultation takes one to two hours including the time to make your pet comfortable with the process. At this point we schedule the date and time of the portrait session.
CREATING THE IMAGES
I allow at least two hours for the portrait appointment; more if we will be at more than one location. Never rush. When children, young dogs and or cats are included it is often necessary and desirable to include short rest periods. I never schedule another appointment within three hours of your session. That way there is no pressure and I can give full attention to creating your images.
SELECTING YOUR PORTRAITS
Once again we are in your home for the viewing session. We will project them or show them on a laptop. This allows you to see the images in a size that enables you to make sure the expressions and poses are perfect. This setting makes it easier to decide which of the images are favorites and then see how they will look in your home. There is no extra charge for this service
It is essential that everyone who will be involved in the decisions be present at the viewing session. The purpose is to make the final decisions on image choice, size, quantity and finishing. You may also wish to discuss the many framing possibilities. This may take longer than you think it will. I have had a session go on longer than two hours but that is exceptional. However I do not schedule another appointment for at least two hours after your appointment.
Viewing your beautiful portraits is going to be very exciting. You will likely fall in love with many of them. You will see only the best, I will have removed closed eyes, turned heads etc. I recommend that you discuss or think about what you might like if you are really pleased with a number of images. Sometimes people expect to see only one or two.
You do meed to be prepared to make your decision because there is a $100 fee for a second viewing session.
PRICING
The creation fee varies with the number of subjects to be photographed. Currently it is $100 for up to two pets or one pet and a person. One half of the creation fee is due when you book the session to hold the time. The remainder is payable at the photographic session. The session fee covers the design session, the photography session and the viewing and decision session. It does not cover the portraits themselves.
If you request a second viewing session there is an additional charge of $100.
If you cancel within 48 hours before the session and do not request a "rain check" I will refund the creation fee you have paid. However if there is a sudden weather change (Colorado) or illness of one of the clients we re-schedule with no penalty. Just call and we will talk about it.
Everyone has a budget, I am confident that I can work within yours.
The session fee covers the consultation, photography session and the viewing and decision. It does not cover the portraits themselves.
GUARANTEE
I want you to be completely happy and satisfied with your portraits. You and I have invested considerable time, effort and expense in creating them. You deserve to have the finest work possible.
If for any reason you are not as happy as you expected, you may have additional images made to your liking at no charge to you. Or if you do not wish to have additional images created, your creation fee will be refunded.
If your finished portraits are not as you want them to be, I will make new ones for you, again at no additional charge.

COPYRIGHT
The copyright act protects photographers by giving the author of the phonographs the exclusive right to reproduce your photographs. This includes the right to control the making of copies. It is ILLEGAL to copy or reproduce these photographs elsewhere without our permission, violators of the Federal Law will be subject to its civil and criminal penalties.
